I am passionate about transportation equity and climate justice. As a Fulbright research scholar in Argentina, I witnessed how community inequities can be exacerbated by poor planning. I concluded that I wanted to devote my career to making cities more accessible and equitable with a focus on public space and mobility. Transportation is the largest source of carbon emissions and is necessary to ensuring access to jobs and opportunities. Because of this, I believe transportation is a way to address the urgent environmental problems of our generation, to make cities more just, and to improve public spaces in a way that ensures our cities are inclusive and accessible to all.
